Lenten Class: Chicago
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day ..." Psalm 91 DoxaSoma is the embracing of the sacred, integrating movement and prayer, breath and word. The practice of DoxaSoma employs static stretch to increase strength and flexibility, fluid movement to improve mobility and meditation on the Word of God to release tension and revive the Spirit. Sessions are adaptable for all skill levels and will be led by certified DoxaSoma Instructors. The sessions will be approximately 60 minutes and are typically done in bare feet. Dress in clothing which allows stretching and movement. Please bring an exercise (yoga, sticky mat) if you have one. Some mats will be available for use as well. Spend time practicing Doxasoma with us during the 40 days of Lent in Chicago with our Lent Series in Chicago this season.... for strength, for focus, for prayer, for renewal...
